So my friend Laura and I decided to get a little bit of bus experience behind us before the semester starts, since neither of us own a car. Problem was though is we couldn't find the times or locations on the website at all. After diligently searching and not giving up, the only time we could find for a bus stop near by was 6:22 a.m. This would also give us an early start to job hunting for the day. So we decided to go for it, being a little hesitant waking up that early....but once we were told by so many that we wouldn't do it, we decide no matter what we were going to wake up and catch that bus.
So we woke up at 5:30, hurried and got ready and barely made it there by 6:21. We were so proud of ourself's. Unfortunately we were on the wrong side of the street and when we saw the bus coming, it just drove right on by. We were really sad and cold. We decided to ride our bikes down to a different bus stop and wait for the bus to come back. So we waited, and waited for about 15 minutes. And mind you, in this time we probably would've been able to make it to our destination by biking. But we were going to get our bus ride dang it! The bus finally came and we learned how to put our bikes on, which was actually easier than I thought. It was fun!! We got our bus experience and an early start off to job hunting. Too bad nothing really opens until 10:00 a.m. but we did get to walk around Old Towne for a while!

Notice how busy the streets are at this time of day.

Fun story. Can't imagine that buses only come by that early, but, as you've seen, all Ft. Collins bikes. Just wait til spring - you'll be amazed.
I had the same hesitation when I tried putting my bike on the bus in SLC for the first time. At times like that Riley's advice of, "if stupid people can do it, you can too".
=) Keep up the posts!
good to see your having fun. check out a picture of my new stp at massiveal.blogspot.com

Maybe you shouldn't listen to Riley's bus advice. Didn't he get hit by a bus?
